Welcome!

Hello my Blog Friends.. Welcome! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Fall is so beautiful this year in Saskatchewan, Canada. The weather seems warmer than it has in past years and we are really enjoying living in the Valley.. so many changes in the foliage that we never experienced living in a larger city.

I am sharing some of my favourite things again today.. tarnished silver seems to be one of them lately. It seems like a short while ago I felt I had to keep it shone and sparkling. Since I have been visiting many of your Blogs I have come to appreciate the tarnished look and I must say it sure is allot easier!

The 1920's cabinet that was my Grandmother's is filled to the brim with Family treasurers and some I have found along the way.

I just love this piece of a calendar from 1909!

My Family photo is my Great Grandmother Agnes and three of her children. The little sweetie beside her is my Grandmother Laura who I never met as she passed in 1938 in childbirth. The pieces I have inherited of hers have special meaning to me as I know she is with me every day.

The picture I am sharing is one of my favourites as well... I almost love the oak frame as much as the darling subject of the print.

This little transferware jug was found at a local charity shop and I am on the lookout for more pieces as I love the colours. Pattern is Lake of the Two Mountains by Ridgway Staffordshire England "Heritage"

Thanks again for stopping in.. I love your comments! Have a wonderful weekend filled with Love & Laughter!

Hugs,
Wanda

Tick Tock....

Tick Tock... Tick Tock...
Welcome! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend..
Don't you just love the sound of an old Mantel clock? Tick Tock...

Time marches on.... it doesn't seem that long ago that our Ancestors used the coal oil lanterns for lighting their homes.

We now only use our lanterns when we are experiencing a power outage.

Our Oak Mantel clock was a Family treasure passed down through the years. Made by The Sessions Clock Co. Forestville, Conn. USA. I can't make out the year on the paper label on the back but I would assume late 1800's or early 1900's.

My leather bound book Danes-bury House written by Mrs. Henry Wood is one of my favourites. The second book is a Selections from 19th Century Poets.

Make sure you take the time to enjoy the beauty and wonder in your Lives ....

Happy Weekend!

Hello my friends.. I am sharing with you our newest purchases for our condo. We live in a small Valley community and loving the quant little shops and festivals that are held here.  Last weekend we found a local art show held in a resident's home. The oil painting above is so beautiful I can't stop smiling when I look at it. The artist is local to the area and paints in the soft dreamy shades I love to decorate with.

I found this little cake tray at Winners which is the Canadian version of TJ Maxx.

I hope you are enjoying a weekend filled with Family.... Love & Laughter! Take care..

Our Sweet Vayda

Welcome! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend the beginning of October. Today I am introducing you to our sweet Grand Daughter Vayda. She is our first girl in the Family and I can't get enough of her! She came and had a sleepover with Grama when Papa was on a Business trip and we had lots of fun!

Vayda turns two November 5th and is full of energy as you would expect.

We have three Grandsons and two Sons so when our little girl came along you can guess how excited I was to be able to enjoy some girly time with another female. I am so looking forward to lunch dates followed by shopping with Grama.

As you can see she loves posing for the camera and showing off her new hat I had made for her at our local Farmer's Market. Her poor little chin is raw due to teething.
We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new Baby Sister or Brother for her early in December so Christmas will be extra fun this year.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Wanda
