Welcome to my Fall post today..I rathered up some of my treasures that remind me of Fall..I hope you enjoy!
Richly coloured potted Mum's on our front step..aren't they a wonderful colour?
This little dish was in my Family for many years..
A sweet Sugar bowl decked in in the colours of Fall..
Some of my collection of vintage linens..
Copper coloured glass bowl..carnival glass I think.
The next little picture I have hanging in the entranceway..
Last but not least a nicely tarnished silver basket filled with acorns..
Thank you for stopping in today..Canada celebrates Thanksgiving Oct12th so I will use some of my treasures to decorate the table for our turkey dinner. Have a wonderful weekend ahead!
Hi Wanda... Lovely fall goodies! Of course I am crazy for the linens!! But my favorite is that gorgeous silver basket with the handle, a lovely piece!! I have also been admiring all your gorgeous vanity items:-))) They are one of my favorite things to collect... there is something so decadent about a lady having a table full of pretty items to pamper herself:-)) Have a great day! Bella
Hi Wanda...Enjoyed seeing your fall treasures. You know, the other day, I saw a ceiling in a bathroom at a bed and breakfast. It consisted of handkerchiefs, all tied together, hanging from the ceiling. I wish I could find that post and send you the address. It was SO COOL. Take care. Sincerely, Susan
Hi Wanda, Oh how I love your linens!!! I have been so busy between coming on board as the design person for Shabby Cottage Studio and with opening my Etsy shop all in a few days!!! Not much of me left..lol I hope you're doing great!!! Hugs, Cindy XO
Hi Wanda! A sweet post you have here. Always love looking over the linens. Your floral pictures are beautiful, and amber carnival glass is my favorite. Have a wonderful holiday! Looks like you're all set!
Hi Wanda, I just love the ceramic pumpkins, the first one really made me laugh! The sugar bowl is very pretty and reminds of my grandma's Alfred Meakin dinner service. The blue and orange are the same although the design is different. All those vintage linnens - can you imagine the hours spent on making those? Today we do not use those items so frequently anymore, but they are so beautiful. Beautiful hand embroidered tableclothes have been replaced by easy to clean table mats, coasters, etc. It is such a pity and many tableclothes lie there waiting on the shelves to show their beauty ..... It is good that you show your pretties and proofs of craftmanship on here! Have a happy autumn day and thank you for sharing your family treasures with us! Jacoba
Wanda dearest, your Fall decor is gorgeous! I love the little plate that your family has treasured for years. I love things like this. And your mum...sigh..gorgeous, rich colors of Autumn. I have to tell that if I came to visit, you would have to put all the silver under lock and key, or you might see me trying to sneak that beautiful silver tray and basket out the door under my jacket!!! Lovely pieces and just sooo me!!! I so enjoy your blog Wanda, it is respite to my victorian soul. hugs
Hello my name is Wanda and I am a Wife..Mother of two grown sons & Grandmother to four sweet boys & two Granddaughters and one Great Grandson. I love anything Victorian..pink..& lacy.
Decorating is my passion along with collecting antiques & searching for Romantic finds everywhere I go.
We have just recently Retired and plan to spend our Winter months at our Park Model Vacation Home in Arizona.
I have started a new Blog and I will be sharing the progress of the renovations we are planning to do to make it our Home away from Home.
My Sweetheart & I have one puppy named Sweetpea and he keeps us active walking three times a day.
We relocated to a small Seaside town of 3000 people in 2015 and are enjoying the small town life. Life is so much easier but I have to keep reminding myself while out treasure hunting that I now have limited space so I had better LOVE the pieces I drag home!
