Duvet changes for Spring!

Welcome Spring! I have decided on a change to our bed linen for Spring... I found this Duvet cover in a Thrift Shop over five years ago and love the colours! Unfortunately it is just a double and our duvet is a King size. My plan this week is to add a creamy linen border from a vintage sheet in my collection to enable me to use it on our bed. Wish me luck!

The following shots are things around the condo I have gathered to enhance the look once I have it ready to change my look.

Don't you just love my metal cloche below? I found it this morning at our local flower shop.. not sure yet if I want to change the colour to creamy white or not. What do you think?

This beautiful floral label below was found on Graphics Fairy.

I will have to add some Spring tulips to my white jug..

My tag was made for me by my sweet friend Cindy in New Orleans.

Loving the detail on the jug...

These three etchings already hang in the dressing area of our Master suite. They were purchased on Ebay for our last home.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today. Thank you for your sweet comments! Blessing & Love from our Home to yours...

  1. It's going to be a beautiful change Wanda. I love your plans for the duvet and all your accessories.
    The etchings are so lovely!!!!
Isn't it funny how Spring makes us want to re-do our nests? I have been fluffing and cleaning a bit myself the past couple of weeks.

  5. I am a new follower of yours and love Victorian as well.
Beautiful floral duvet, how fun to have a project to work on! What a cute touch the metal cloche will make, I believe I would change its color to the creamy white, but that is just my opinion - either would be great. I would love to have you join me on my blog. Have a great day!

  7. Hi Wanda,
Wow, everything looks beautiful and I think the cloche looks perfect! I think it depends what works year-round based on what else is in the room..So funny, here in New Orleans, everything is black or burnished--no creamy white as I haven't met a soul who has Shabby Chic. So, I guess I like them both ways. I saw the tag and flipped! I can't believe it made it on your move--you must be super-organized, my friend. I want to wish you and your husband a Happy Easter!!!
    Love,
    Cindy

  8. Hi Wanda,
I drawl over everything you show us here. The pattern of the spring duvet is so pretty. The cloche looks fine as it is. No doubt you will find nice settings for the collectibles.
Happy Easter with your loved ones!
