Settled In Our New Vancouver Island Home...

Thank you for stopping in today.... We are settled in to our new home on Vancouver Island and loving it. 

We have purchased our first IKEA sofa and I love the casual look. 

We have rented our Condo in Saskatchewan furnished so I only brought a few of my favourite furniture pieces and was able to pick up some great pieces like the coffee table and chair at a local auction. 

This week we are heading to our home in Arizona for some sunshine so I will share more once we arrive.

My Attempt At Our Backsplash...

Hello my fellow Bloggers... It seems like I have not posted on my Blogs for ages. 

My Sweetie and I have purchased another home on Vancouver Island this month and I decided to share my attempt at the backsplash. 

The tin like product is available at Home Depot and was relatively easy to install. 

We chose the same paint colour as the one we used in our condo in Saskatchewan and are loving it... again...

I was not looking forward to attacking the corner installation but it went smoothly...

Blue Sealers

Hello my Fellow Blogging friends...

It seems like I have not posted in a very long time!

We are now home for a month and heading back to B.C. in July. I must say it was nice being home surrounded by my treasures. 

I am sharing my love of vintage blue sealers.... They go perfectly with my Duck Egg Blue painted pieces!

I have placed them on the 1920's dresser I have used as a linen chest in our dining room area. Sorry I didn't take a shot of it as it is painted in the Duck Egg Blue....

Our poor little Sweetpea was bored with all the photo taking so decided to take a nap...

Beautiful Vancouver Island

I am sharing the view from our B & B suite in Chemainus, British Columbia.

It is wonderful to wake up and see this view every morning...

These two Bald Eagles were perched in the fir tree outside our suite while hunting for salmon I am sure. 

We are on The Island for April & May so will be enjoying many sunsets and sunrises....

Arizona Decor

Welcome...

Today I am sharing our new La-Z-Boy furniture and wool carpet that arrived yesterday.

As you can see our decor in Arizona is allot different than our condo in Canada.

Our colours here reflect the Arizona colours in the desert and its surroundings.

After we ordered the pieces I wondered if I had gone with too vibrant of a colour scheme but we are loving the choices we made.

The wool carpet below is also from La-Z-Boy and it is a real contrast from our pink and aqua wool carpets in the condo.

The dining chairs I had recovered coordinate nicely as well.

What would a room be without fresh flowers... I love tulips.

We are usually both snapping away with our cameras when we are out hiking and exploring.

The cactus is so tightly wrapped the impression of the outer leaves are imprinted in the inner leaves.
