Thank you for visiting me today..I am sharing with you my collection of needlework pictures I have throughout Our home. I hope you enjoy.. This top photo is a piece I purchased in a small Antique shop in Maine and I still have not done anything with it..hoping to frame it this Fall. It is a large piece about 24x24 so will be lovely once adorned with a frame.
This sweet girl was made by our neighbours Mother In Law and she could not wait to sell it to me at a garage sale for $10.00! It is so beautiful..of course I paid her quick & ran into the house!
This floral picture was made for me by a Dear Aunt & I treasure it!
These next two smaller pieces were picked up in shops while we were vacationing in PEI a few years ago.
The picture above is one of two I have with the same design but as you will see the stitcher used different colours of threads and framing choices.
The floral above was made by my Sister In Law..
The rose picture at the top as well as the deer picture were saved from heading to the trash..can you believe it?? The bottom one is the other bird piece I mentioned above.
This lovely pair were a gift from my Sweet Husband..
And last but not least the bottom picture was given to us from a friend as it went nicely with our Dining Room wallpaper..lucky me!
I hope you enjoyed seeing my collection as much as I enjoyed showing it too you..have a great rest of the week!
Hi: I am running a day late for Tea Cup Tuesday. However, it worked to my advantage, not only did I see your beautiful tea cup, but also got to view your beautiful needlework. You are amazing. True eye candy. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a wonderful week. Blessings, Martha
Beautiful, Wanda! Love your needlepoint! I always wanted to learn to do it and so I tried. It just wasn't my thing so now I have a new found appreciation for all the work that goes into making even something small!
Hi Wanda, That's quite a collection you have there, very pretty! I have done a lot of needle work, tableclothes too precious to use - they are so beautiful. The other day I came across beautiful needlework in a second hand shop and I was so taken aback, as it was obvious that someone had done it away. I wondered why it was not cherished and found it heart breaking. So much time goes into needlework. Enjoy yours!
Hi Wanda, Oh this is such beautiful needlepoint! I have to tell you that tomorrow thru Sunday on my I Owe It all To Him blog I have a link party...and guess what it is? "Show us your collections!" I'd love for you to link this up...(I will probably put the link on later tonight because I usually do it early.) But, the ladies are so wonderful...you may want to show them your beautiful collection. Hugs, Cindy xox
Hola Wanda, I`ve just seen the so beautiful napkins you sent to June and I had to come to visit you and see what else you have in your blog and I´m delighted to see how many lovely things you show in your blog and this collection of needle work is amazing, beautiful!!! A pleasure meeting you. Greetings from Chile, maria cecilia
Just can't believe that someone would dare to trash such lovely rose embroidery! I must say that your sister-in-law is quite an artist; love her roses! Tried to see them more enlarged but that is hard to do... Joined you today and you're invited to visit with me as well.
Hi Wanda, I loved looking at all your needlework pieces...What a treat...I was especially intrigued by the hexagon-shaped frames. I thought that was really unusual and added extra beauty to the needlework. I've only done counted cross-stitch. I have a pattern that I need to finish. I LOVE Paula Vaughn designs. Thanks for sharing these with us. They're all so lovely!!!! Have a great weekend. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
What an amazing collection Wanda! They are just beautiful. To think about the hands that stitched these... I was so thrilled to go to the post on Wed and find my treat from you. I was thrilled with it so much and the beautiful lacey handerkerchiefs were icing on the cake. Thank you so much Wanda. I can't wait to (if I can bear to) use the napkins. hugs to you from here...
Hello Wanda, Oh My!!! Someone else who loves needlepoint! I love them, too. They are all gorgeous!!! I have a collection on my walls, too. I'll try hard to get them posted one day next week. Warm hugs, Laura
Wow, I LOVE to do needlework and I usually end up donating it because it seems 'out of fashion' these day. It makes my heart sing to see all the lovely pieces that you have on display.
