New Colours...

Welcome & thank you for stopping in for a visit today! As I have mentioned in past posts my Sweetie and I are downsizing to a Condo in the next year or so and I have decided to add another colour scheme to our decor. What do you think?
Our collection of Victorian art has allot of sepia colouring and seems to go well with the colours I have chosen.
The mercury glass look that is now in every store I see really goes well with my tarnished silver pieces that I used to feel I needed to keep shiny. Lol ... much easier not to polish the pieces!

Two of our 1920 wing chairs are off to be recovered in these tones and I will share with you before and after photos once I get them back. Today I found some wonderful fabric to recover a few stools we have so they will go wonderfully with the new look.

Thanks again for stopping in and I will share more with you as I get the new look more together. Have a wonderful week ahead.
Blessing from Our home to Yours..

Time to Reflect..

Well another year has gone by quickly and it is once again time to step back and reflect on the past year..after a busy few days back at work this week I was so looking forward to getting home and relaxing with a cup of fresh coffee & some dainties!

I had mentioned in earlier posts that my Sweetie & I were thinking of downsizing to a Condo this past year and it did not happen so we will have to really think if this is what we are still wanting to do and get busy setting the plan in motion.
Since I am such a collector of all things Old and Victorian I am really going to have get sorting through things and decide what is going along with us. What a job!
Maybe in the New Year I will have to make a plan and do one room at a time..or start in the basement..this could be why we never got moving in 2010! So daunting of a task..
One thing I know is I will be keeping my collection of Red Transferware..LOVE IT!!

Well I should get busy making my plan of action this weekend. Any volunteers? We are off to a Friend's Dinner Party to bring in the New Year.
May the New Year be filled with Love..Happiness & Good Health for all of You & Your Families!

Hugs,
Wanda

My Great Find!

Today on my weekly visit to Winner's/Homesense (Canada's version of TJ Maxx) I found this sweet magazine holder for our office. It is perfect for our small space and the wainscoting matches the wood we used on the room when we remodeled it last year.
It safely holders some of my collection of Victoria & Tradition Home Magazines..keeping them handy when I sit in the sunbeam in my favorite chair and daydream..

I will need to get out my calligraphy pen and complete the labels so it has a finished look..I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and found some treasures of your own! Take care & thank you for stopping in today..
Hugs,
Wanda
