Vintage Love..

Sharing today somethings that are very special to me..Valentine cards that were given to my Father. He was born in 1923 and his treasured Valentines were passed down to me when he passed away at age 53.
His collection is a mix of store bought and hand made cards as well.
This sweet little card folds out and is in such good condition. When you think of the age of the cards it is really amazing.

These are the hand made cards given to him by his school mates.

It makes me smile to hold these little cards and remember my Father and to know a little piece of him is always with me.
Thank you for joining me today with my Memories of my Father who left this world far to soon.
Hugs,
Wanda

  1. Wanda, These Valentine's Day cards are so precious. I think that's a really sweet way to remember your daddy :) :) The "I"m just a-Lion in wait for you to be my Valentine"...that made me smile :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

  3. Oh how wonderful! So glad he kept them and they were handed down to you! I hate it when familes don't keep things. A similarity here, my dad was born in 1924 and also died at 53 :(

  12. These are great and even better because they were your Father's! I've discovered today's valentines for kids are not as cute as they used to be. Mostly just characters from movies or TV shows with hokey sentiments. They just don't make 'em like they used to!
